HMCSF has brought countless students from around the world to our conference.

President’s Message

Dear Faculty and Delegates:

It is our privilege to welcome you all to Harvard Model Congress San Francisco 2025! On behalf of our Executive Board and staff, I am so pleased to welcome you all to the “Golden City” for our “Silver Jubilee” and 25th annual conference at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA from January 17th-19th, 2025.

Since its founding in 2001, HMCSF has prided itself on bringing a diverse range of high school students from across the country and the globe to our conference. In our 25th year, we rededicated ourselves to this mission by bolstering our services with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are so honored to introduce our dedicated Director of Scholarships, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion alongside a bolstered Scholarship program. Regardless of where our delegates come from, we hope to embrace their diverse backgrounds and experiences while elevating their passion for government, democracy, and civic engagement to create an unparalleled educational experience. Over the course of our conference, delegates will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills by debating some of the most pressing issues facing the United States government and collaborating with each other to develop thoughtful solutions that often cross party lines.

With the election in November and hosting our conference just hours before the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, students are uniquely situated to think deeply about how their policy and roles play an integral piece in forging a future that is inclusive  and embodies the aspirations of the American Dream. This is why HMCSF 2025 will build off of “Dare to Dream” and challenge our delegates to use these dreams to “Forge our Future” at this year’s conference. We challenge each of you to look beyond the status quo and dive deep into your hopes for the United States, but don’t stop there. Use this passion to forge a future that you are proud of in your committees, through thoughtful bills and discourse with your fellow delegates. Just like silver and gold must be forged to take shape, I sincerely hope that each of you will use HMCSF 2025 as an opportunity to shape a future that invites difference, encourages bipartisan cooperation, and paves a path forward.

We are looking forward to having you join us for Harvard Model Congress San Francisco’s 2025 conference in January. If you have any questions about registration or the conference, please reach out to faculty@hmcsanfran.org and president@hmcsanfran.org. We are happy to answer any questions you have. I look forward to meeting you in January and to delivering our world-class educational experience for every delegate in our 25th year!

With Kindness,

Andre Ramsey
